“Oh, Boy!” Toddler Quilt This fun quilt will be perfect for your little guy’s first big boy bed! It’s just the right size for a toddler bed; bigger than a crib quilt but still small enough for a little one to handle. It’s never too soon to start teaching them to make the bed. Choose his favorite theme (I used “Oh Boy, Dinos” from Free Spirit), frame the focus fabric and then march the flying geese around all the blocks. The flying geese are assembled in pairs for speed and accuracy. Note: This pattern is written for paper-piecing the flying geese units and familiarity with paper-piecing techniques is presumed. If you choose an alternate method to make the flying geese, make sure you have plenty of fabric. The pattern includes layout to make a twin size version. |
