Effective January 1, 2011:

We have modified the US Pricing for all of “The Freckles Collections” patterns so that the US and Canadian pricing is the same. This has resulted in a price increase in the US Dollar pricing.

We have modified the Canadian Pricing for all of the “Sew Fun” patterns so that the US and Canadian pricing is the same. This has resulted in a price decrease in the Canadian Dollar pricing.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions!
Create a unique event with your customers using ABQ149 Tie A Ribbon.

“The yellow ribbon tied around the 'old oak tree' has for many years represented homecoming and the end of long absences. In the 90's this idea developed into the crossed red ribbon representing AIDS awareness. Today there are as many ribbons and variations in ribbon color as there are causes and diseases. Each one expresses the empathy and the awareness of the wearer.”

Choose the cause that means the most to you, or is prevalent in your community. Use the teaching notes and hold a class to make the bag to raise money for your chosen cause. Use supplies and colours and embellishments that complement the theme. The bag can be made in about 3 hours and can be used to remember the event and cause for years to come.

If you're living in Canada, you have probably spent a considerable amount of time thinking about, talking about, and just generally living and breathing HST. Well, here at Quilt Craft Distributors, so have we.

As you are no doubt aware, starting July 1st of this year, businesses will change from charging GST to charging HST and that includes us. The CRA's "Place of Supply" rules have been substantially re-written and (simplified) indicate that the destInation of goods will determine the tax rate to be charged.

Therefore, Quilt Craft Distributors will be required to charge HST on orders shipped to stores located in Ontario and British Columbia. If you are located in one of the existing HST provinces (NS, NB, NL) nothing will change, and if you are located in one of the GST/PST only provinces, your PST exemption still applies and nothing will change for you either. (And exports out of Canada will continue to be tax free).

QCD has upgraded our accounting software to manage the changes. Invoices dated July 1st and later will reflect the new HST rates. Each invoice will detail the tax rate and tax summary for your order so that you may properly account for the invoices when you receive them. You will need the information to get the taxes back in credit.

As always, if you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to contact us.
